About Groundswell Designs

Groundswell Designs was founded by Felix Spencer, a degree qualified naval architect with over 7 years of experience. During this time he led the design and management of over 30 vessels. Having worked with shipyards around the world, he brings a wealth of expertise and a global perspective to every project, including extensive experience with class authorities. With a strong foundation in both engineering and design, Groundswell Designs was created with the goal of providing a more client-focused, passionate approach to naval architecture. 

 Outside the office, Felix enjoys windsurfing, surfing, spearfishing, and rebuilding project boats, drawing inspiration from these pursuits to craft designs that excel in real-world conditions. This hands-on connection to the marine environment shapes a practical and dynamic approach to naval architecture, ensuring every design meets the highest standards of performance and usability.
